Birding Tours and Nature Photography in Southern South America

Joaquín Ghiorzo

Self-taught naturalist, and in academic formation and permanent updating.
Since I was little I have been in contact with nature through different forms. This union with Nature has remained throughout time through its observation and contemplation, whom I have always considered my Master. Currently, as a Naturalist, I consider Nature Photography as a tool for Environmental Conservation, through which its image allows an awareness and value to preserve this natural heritage: "since you can not care for or want what you do not known". Although nature attracts me in all its forms, I feel special attraction for birds, which I also consider an indicator of the environmental status of an ecosystem. I have toured different environments throughout Argentina and also countries abroad, such as Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and India.
Currently, based in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, I accompany and guide both groups of bird watchers and nature photographers, as well as people interested in getting started in these activities, in Entre Ríos and Esteros del Iberá in Corrientes.
